I know this is your last week and I wanted to let you know that my daughter-in-law, Linda, and I will never forget the precious time we spent with all of you over the past couple of years.  I discovered your community of gracious, talented and loving women and men in 2006 and, although I only stayed on one occasion that year, I came away with a renewed belief that true health and vitality is within my grasp. 
After my Mother died in April, 2007, and I had taken care of all the arrangements and events associated with that, I knew that I had to come back to the Hillcrest. It was almost like I knew where I needed to be.  I drove to Port Hope the day after my Mother's funeral and stayed two nights.  Your compassionate and talented staff helped me to truly rest, reflect and start healing.

Walking on the trails with my husband I got well ahead of him as I am a faster walker. The groundskeeper entered the area where my husband Alan was walking and they got chatting. Alan told him it was my 75th birthday celebration from the family to visit the Spa. The next thing I knew this tractor came up behind me, the person riding it asked me to please go and join my husband. I thought at first something had happened to him. I hurried back to him and found he was fine. A few minutes latter the groundskeeper arrived on the tractor with a lovely bunch of flowers from the garden. I was so thrilled - it really rounded off a most enjoyable visit to The Hillcrest. Thank you very much!

OCTOBER 2008

Just wanted to let everyone know that I really enjoyed my stay…it was exactly what I needed.  I loved the intimate atmosphere and how comfortable I felt from the minute I came in the door.  I felt spoilt and pampered and the spa treatments were top notch.  The vegetarian choices on the menu were great and (unlike in most restaurants) I felt that the chef took as much care with my dishes as with the non-vegetarian.  I’m already planning on coming back in July and have recommended the Hillcrest to my friends and co-workers.  Thanks again!

We thank you for providing us the opportunity to stay with you in your lovely place.   The beds are made for dreaming in....the atmosphere a delight...the property is just beautiful.  A special thanks to the chef...all the food was wonderful and the dinner especially delicious. I had steak and vegetables  which sounds so simple but whatever the chef does, it is done to the perfection that I wish I could replicate at home.  Liz and Rhoda are both lovely ladies...very like-able, knowledgeable and accommodating to our needs.   Your reception is also wonderful...everyone offering to help with our numerous bags...that's always appreciated.  Everyone was very pleasant, approachable and accommodating.
While there, I had two massages.  Both were performed with the utmost of professionalism.  Martha, the RMT, is a dream!  I wish I could get her to move to Toronto.  Martha is an interesting and extremely intelligent young woman with a calm about her that just makes one "relax".   I have never talked through a massage so much and at the same time been total jello in her hands.  It was the best!  And, I'm still feeling that "nice sore" feeling which allows me to remember how important it is for me to get going on a more regular stretching, exercising and physical therapy routine. "Thanks Martha for the inspiration!"

I made it home safely and I’m now sitting at my computer at work convinced it was all an aberration – a figment of my imagination!  Honestly though – I really enjoyed my 5 nights at the Hillcrest Valenova and all the pampering I received from each and every one of the staff.  It was amazing to actually sit for over an hour enjoying each meal – something I am going to have to try to emulate at home.  I found the Stress Management/Detox Program to be very helpful.  The delicious organic food satisfied me each and every meal and I didn’t feel deprived at all. I am not bloated and I haven’t craved anything since my return, except of course for more of the same wonderful cuisine. Thanks again for an amazing stay!  Give “Maggie” a pat or two from me.

Stacey and i would like to sincerely thank you for making it possible to visit Hillcrest Valenova again.  We truly view the place as our 'home away from home' because when we pulled into the driveway yesterday we simultaneously said 'we're home'.  For 24 hours we leave the fast paced world behind us and we go to a place that welcomes us with genuine warmth and hospitality.  We really have no idea how to thank you other than continuing to return. With every visit we feel that as though our relationship with Hillcrest Valenova (including the staff) grows, nutures, prospers-almost like a human relationship.  Some may call it infatuation, or rather a fantasy land, but both Stacey and I have a real affinity, to Hillcrest Valenova that will not allow us to go anywhere else for our spa/resort getaway. This is our third stay at Hillcrest Valenova. The first was our honeymoon and the other two were "babymoon". It really is the best place we've found to truly unplug and relax.

The three-day detox program had such a tonic effect on both of us; I feel like I had a much needed mid-winter tune-up from head to toe. NOVEMBER 2007

It was concise and clear.  I was able to understand exactly where I was at within a short period of time.  Robin worked with me from a very personal place.  She also absolutely understood what I was feeling. I came to the Hillcrest feeling hopeless, sad, dissatisfied, alone, distressed – completely done. Today, I leave with a new found hope.  I feel strong, alive, fresh, hopeful, faithful, able and sure that it’s going to work out.  I thank God for this very blessed Golden opportunity to turn my life around.  There’s so much to do and I’ll do everything in stride, one step at a time, one day at a time.  I have to transfer the tools I’ve gained to my everyday life.  I have to put them to practice.  The neat thing is that the Stress Program provides some very practical, easy to follow tips/directions to use.  This is an excellent program to use to jump-start the well needed change that so many of us need to exercise in our lives today.  If everyone could get a piece of this they’d see so much improvement in their lives.

Rejuvenating, centering, relaxing and sinfully selfish are just a few words to describe my experience at Hillcrest Valenova.

From the wonderful aroma that greets you as you walk in the front door to the kindness and caring of the staff; from the deliciously sinful meals to the individual pampering of the treatments, I can truly say that I have never had such an exciting, relaxing and wonderful 24 hours.

I was thrilled to share my experience with one of my best friends and  both of us, to this day, when we feel flustered and stressed, we both think back to the Hillcrest and relive the feelings that our stay evoked and the aromas that we experienced and we feel renewed.

The room that we stayed in (David Allen) was so beautiful with the period pieces.  The freedom to move throughout the Inn and enjoy each room for its special unique characteristics was so wonderful.  We sampled from the  fantastic selection of Herbal Teas by Mighty Leaf.  I have never tasted such wonderful teas in my life.   The treatments that we both were able to indulge in were delivered so skillfully. I have to admit that I have never felt such warmth and caring by the staff.  I don't think that words on paper can adequately describe how wonderful I felt.  I had never been to a spa before and I believe that I will be making more trips to your wonderful, heavenly Inn to allow myself the gift of being pampered and cared for.

My deepest thanks to you and your staff for the wonderful gift that you gave me.  I will remember it always.
